SUMMARY:North Somerset Learning Disability Partnership Board
DESCRIPTION:At each Partnership Board meeting\, we focus on a key theme. This time\, we will be discussing Adult Social Care.\nWe would like to hear about your experiences of social care and the support you receive. Some of the questions people tell us they have are:\nWhy does support change when I turn 18?\nWhy do I lose support when I become an adult?\nWhy can’t I understand information about my care and support?\nWhy do my support workers keep changing?\nWhy don’t staff always understand my needs?\nWhy are there fewer services and support options available?\nWhy do I feel lonely or excluded from my community?\nWhy aren’t there more opportunities for me to make friends and take part in activities?\nDo you have any other questions or experiences you would like to share?\nIf you are able to attend and share your views in person\, that would be very welcome. If you cannot attend\, or would prefer not to speak at the meeting\, you can email me with your thoughts beforehand. We can share your feedback with the Board anonymously if that would make you feel more comfortable.
