DESCRIPTION:Walk & Talk is a supportive 6-session group for carers and their dependants living with Parkinson’s\, taking place in beautiful nature areas in Hanham. The aim of the group is to provide a safe and welcoming space for peer support\, connection with nature\, reduced isolation\, and gentle physical activity. \nEach walk has been carefully planned with accessibility in mind\, using routes that are suitable for people who may be unsteady on their feet\, with a gentle pace and regular opportunities to rest. A volunteer will be present at each session to provide additional support\, helping to ensure everyone feels comfortable and included.

Together we’ll explore art\, nature and simple wellbeing practices in a relaxed nature setting. \nWhat to Expect \nWeekly 2-hour sessions\nGentle creative activities using plants\, flowers & natural materials as inspiration and material\nTime to slow down\, connect with nature\, your creativity and other mums\nA calm\, supportive and non-judgemental space\nA baby area with rugs and toys — babies are very welcome!\nWhile your little one rests or plays beside you\, the focus will be on your wellbeing. We know that when mums feel supported and cared for\, babies thrive too \nWhere We’ll Be\nSessions take place outdoors in Kingswood park\, community garden and polytunnel (weather-dependent). \nWho It’s For \nNew Mums wanting connection with other new mums to have some time to be in nature and try creative activities\nMums with pre-crawling babies\nGroup size limited to 12 mums and babies to keep it intimate and supportive\nLed By\nA trained artist-facilitator experienced in community work\, perinatal wellbeing and nature connection. \nThis is a gentle\, creative space to breathe\, make and feel connected. \nYou matter too.
