Family activities at Arnos Vale Cemetery
Creepy creatures craft workshop
Monday 27 October 1.30pm, 2.30pm & 3.30pm
Tickets cost £6 per child
Arnos Vale Cemetery is full of creepy creatures that love to live in dark and gloomy places. Join this workshop and find out what lives in the shadows here and find out more about how they live, and what makes them an invertebrate and create some junk creatures to take home made from recycled materials.
Magic wand making
Tuesday, 28 October 2025 at 1.30pm, 2.15pm & 3pm
Tickets cost £6
In this creative outdoor session, children will use natural and recycled materials to craft their very own magic wand to take home. Then, they’ll have a go at making potions using autumn plants and flowers found in the woodland around them.
This event is best suited for children aged 3 to 9, though toddlers and babies are more than welcome to join in. All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session. Adults do not need a ticket.
Den building workshop
Thursday 30 October 2025 at 10.30-12.00pm
Tickets £15, please book in advance.
Your kids will learn how to create a simple den using natural and recycled materials. They will try out ways of securing the den and then test the group den for waterproofing! Finally, they will cook and enjoy a treat in the den.
Fire lighting workshop
Thursday 30th October 1.30pm -3.00pm
Tickets cost £15 per child.
Find out how to build a mini fire and what materials are suitable. Have a go at managing a real campfire and feeding a storm kettle. Then roast a marshmallow for a pre-lunch snack. This is a session suitable for fire lighting beginners, aged 6+.
