Description:
Woodland Management Officer
8-24 hours per week at £15.17 per hour (£31,553.60 FTE)
We are looking for a new Woodland Management Officer who will work with our Collections Manager, volunteers and participants to restore our collection of over 600 trees including several champions and rare specimens from around the world.
This is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to gain woodland management experience in an inclusive work environment. This is a practical and on-site role which would suit someone looking for mostly term-time hours:
Woodland Management Days – weekly Tuesdays 9am-4:45pm (7 ¾ hours)
Hawthorn Project – weekly Wednesdays 10am-3:15pm term-time only (5 ¼ hours)
Oak Tree Project – weekly Thursdays 9:30am-3:30pm term-time only (6 hours)
Community Volunteer Days – third Sunday of each month – 9:30am-4:30pm (7 hours)
The role includes driving our minibus from Bristol BS2 to Tortworth GL12 – this is vital for ensuring our projects are accessible and inclusive to all. MIDAS training will be provided.
Closing date for applications: Monday 5th January, 9am
