A gentle, welcoming space for people to come together, explore aromatic herbs, learn through the senses, and connect with like-minded others in an increasingly disconnected world.
The first gathering will take place at Boiling Wells, St Werburghs City Farm, Bristol on 30th September 2026, and will be held monthly thereafter.
Drawing on the rich plant world, herbalism and aromatherapy, each session will feature a seasonal herb alongside, aromatic tastings, scent exploration, gentle learning, conversation and opportunities to meet others who share an interest in plants, wellbeing and nature.
While the circle explores wellbeing through herbs and scent, it is not a therapy group. Instead, it offers a mindful, lightly structured community space where people can show up as they are, engage at their own pace, and enjoy the experience of learning from plants and from one another.
The circle has been designed with Neurodivergent people in mind, and will suit any adult seeking a calmer, less overwhelming way to meet others. Participants will be invited to engage through smell, taste, touch and conversation, with no pressure to socialise in any particular way. Quiet reflection and gentle participation are equally valued.
Sessions will be held sensitively by Ellen, a qualified Medical Herbalist and Clinical Aromatherapist, Enhanced DBS checked and experienced in creating safe, inclusive and welcoming spaces for diverse groups.
Bookings are now open for the September launch. Booking is required, as spaces are limited.
Ellen is welcoming contact from and partnership with groups or services who refer participants to gentle, social activities to improve their wellbeing.
