Carers Support – Bristol and South Gloucestershire

Carers Support, Bristol and South Gloucestershire: Project Manager

Description:

Walk & talk sessions for young adult carers

Are you aged 18–25 and helping to care for someone at home? If you support a parent, sibling, relative or friend who is ill, disabled, experiencing mental health challenges or substance misuse, and you’re not paid for it, you are a young adult carer. Balancing caring with work, study or social life can be a lot, and you deserve time and support for yourself too.

Our walk & talk programme for young adult carers offers a gentle, supportive way to build confidence and connection. The format begins with three one-to-one walking sessions with our friendly walk leader, giving you space to talk, ask questions and feel comfortable at your own pace. After that, you’ll be invited to join a small group session with other young adult carers, where you can meet others who understand your experiences.

We have a new group starting soon in Hartcliffe and we’d love you to join us. It’s relaxed, welcoming and suitable for all walking abilities — just a chance to get outdoors, clear your head and connect with others.

If you’d like to find out more or book a place, please get in touch.
