Our work as part of Connecting People into the Community project funded by Bristol City Council is to develop “drop-ins” across Bristol in places such as community centres, libraries, health centres, audiology departments, and hospitals. We want to promote the work of CfD and raise awareness of the support and advice available to Deaf and hard of hearing people. We provided assistive technology, activities, and peer/support groups for people with any level of hearing loss. We want to reach out to people who may be struggling with their hearing loss, feeling isolated and low in confidence, and support them getting involved in the groups, community and activities that they would like to do – whether those are provided by us at CfD, or within their local community.
