June 15 @ 11:00 - 13:00

Free

This walk is part of an ongoing monthly nature walk for men – first timers are very welcome! It is a mindful, slow, and mostly silent walk for men led along the same route through the woods every month, with an emphasis on participants leaving behind their phones, digital devices, and watches.(Event organisers have phones for emergencies and to keep a track of time.)

There are two sit-spots for men to take time alone, and one group sit-spot for men to share their experiences. We use forest therapy principles to support men in becoming aware of their senses and the seasonal shifts occurring, and in cultivating a deeper connection to nature.

Men have shared experiences of “feeling genuinely happy,” “being able to let go and stop worrying” and of this walk “hitting a spot that nothing else hits.”

Those who attend this walk may wish to attend future walks with this group.

Meeting place: Ashton Hill Plantation, Flax Bourton, BS8 3UW. What3Words: ///Fairly.Finely.Cattle

About the Organisation: Green Spaces seek to deepen and enrich the lives of men by cultivating their connection to natural green spaces. You can find out more about their work here.

Accessibility info: Men. 16 years minimum age. Physical ability to walk unassisted at a gentle pace over woodland + forest paths with some small inclines. Those who attend will be asked to complete a personal information / photo consent form prior, and understand this is a gentle and mostly silent space.
