North Bristol NHS Trust: Southmead Hospital Community Tree Planting Day

Description:

Join the Sustainability Team for a community event at Southmead Hospital!

When? Thursday 19th Feb, 10am – 2pm
Where? Southmead Hospital Allotment

Bring your friends, family, and colleagues to connect with community and nature as we plant a new hedgerow at our hospital allotment, supporting biodiversity. This is a great opportunity to:

Connect with nature and enjoy the outdoors
Explore the allotment space and learn about our sustainability efforts
Make a lasting impact by contributing to a greener, healthier environment

Tools and guidance will be provided—just bring weather appropriate clothing and your enthusiasm!

Open to everyone! Families are warmly welcome, and all abilities are supported. Even if you can’t physically plant trees, you’re invited to come along, enjoy the space, and be part of the community.

Refreshments will be provided – please bring a reusable cup to help us reduce waste. Free hot lunch for the first 20 attendees!

The Southmead Hospital Allotment is located between the Learning & Research building and new Surgery Centre. Access is via a wheelchair friendly path from Monks Park Avenue or the stairs next to the Learning & Research Building.
